1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

We aim at making the parents engage in the co-creation of positive energy districts by approaching their children. Klimaverksted is an educational package for children at the age of 10-13. It consists of three elements: first, an educational component about the basics of climate change, renewable energy production and the relevance combined with the current curriculum for schools in norway. Second, the children receive a toolbox consisting of a toolkit for a small power station. A solar panel or a wind turbine. Also a manual for constructing a paper house from an old cardboard box is included... Source: EIT Climate KIC's Climathon

Thermal Thieves wrote: Active solar water heat storage systems offer a viable way to supplement current energy intensive methods of generating space heating and hot water. There are solar panel technologies designed for the purposes of collecting thermal energy from the sun and transferring it to a closed loop heating system. This on site creation and storage of thermal energy at the source eliminates the infrastructure and inefficiencies inherent in district heating systems supplied by offsite power generators. In addition to personal unit supplies, we propose a community storage system that operates on a separate closed loop and is energized once personal systems have reached capacity...
