1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030

These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.

These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

GreenStock wrote: The volume of construction waste generated worldwide every year will nearly double to 2. 2. Billion metric tons by the year 2025. The norwegian construction industry alone produces nearly 2 million metric tons of building waste every year. Greenstock’s cloud-based platform streamlines logistics for the reuse of building materials. Organisations can use the platform internally to map available materials in existing buildings and leftovers from building projects in a database for reuse in future construction projects. This will reduce carbon emissions as well as overall building costs... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Solar4Schools wrote: Solar4schools develops an automatic stand-alone solar energy system for schools in developing countries who are struggling with access to affordable and clean energy. Using mobile payments and iot technology the solar energy system is initially financed by selling phone charger services to the wider community. This subsequently provides an additional income source for the school. Furthermore, the solar4schools system enables schools to stop using kerosene and candles, so it is cleaner and enable schools to reduce carbon emission by 91% per year. The community will also benefit by not having to walk 2-10km to the town for phone charging, but rather go to the school, which in turn will place schools at the centre of the community... Sustainability is much more than co2 emission - it is about the environment, social aspect and economics. As a business owner you may ask yourself - how can we best contribute and how do we measure our own sustainability?. We believe the key is to develop a good framework - milieubank has the ambition to do that. We will provide sensor solutions and intelligent business solutions that, as far as possible, automatically monitor and document this. The data is collected in a database and analysed - the results are made available to you... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

ChargeBnB

ChargeBnB

ChargeBnB wrote: Chargebnb starts with the first b as an ev owner looking to charge the vehicle, while the second b refers to the private charging point owner looking for extra revenue from charging points while not using it for personal use. The platform of chargebnb creates a simple one point of contact for every ev owner to charge their vehicle, not needing many apps and pricing plans. A simple one stop shop solution of chargebnb enables an effective charging solution for electric vehicles, while connected to the back-end cloud network. The platform runs on a ocpp protocol and creates a back-end solution for roaming services (similar to mobile phone roaming)... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Kvist Solutions wrote: Building and construction are responsible for 39% of all carbon emissions in the world. Today, constructing a green building is expensive and requires a lot of competence. Consequently, the majority of buildings are built using old methods, materials and systems, which is harmful to the environment. Our goal is to lower the bar for implementing sustainability assessment methods, such as breeam, in future projects and hopefully contributing to an increase in the number green buildings. We want to help the construction industry towards a green and digital future... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

The non-biodegradable material used was plastic to produce an alternative, cheaper and effective life jacket. Our solutions are based on reusing these waste materials and turning it into a tangible product beneficial to our society and environment.
