1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

We believe that farmers are burning crop residue for being easy and economical. Our aim is to provide farmers much easier and economical solution as compared to burning and of multipurpose use for farmers. Our technology decomposes stubble in-situ completely by spraying consortium of stubble decomposing microbes and methane loving methanotrophs which consumes the methane & carbon dioxide produced during the process of decomposing to give carbon enriched biomass to be used as fertilizer for next crop. It lowers atmospheric co2,... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Eco-Friendly Water Retention Natural Polymer wrote: We are trying to solving the major problem of the agriculture sector as well as the waste management problem. To solve these problems, we designed a natural water-absorbent polymer by using biodegradable waste that can absorb the 150 times of the water than its own weight and can hold absorbed water for a long period of time to maintain the moisture level with the soil. Our designed product is pollution-free, organic in nature, and biodegradable too so it helps improve the soil in an organic way and it will degrade in the soil after 6 months... In the manufacturing process of fertilizers, phosphorous and potassium are non-renewable critical resources that are 80 to 100% imported by india. One resource that interlinks the water-nutrients nexus with the sanitation is human urine. Urine contains about 98% water and remaining are nutrients (n, p, k). About 22% of the global phosphorus demand can be achieved through the recovery of phosphorus from human waste. It’s time to ‘reinvent the toilet’... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Considering the lack of awareness, low income, and unavailability of continuous supply of electricity, people from rural areas can't afford water treatment facilities and hence prone to water borne diseases. So, this inspired us to create water disinfecting hand-pump in which a small modification in the existing set-up can serve as water treatment solution. We have successfully implemented at pilot scale followed by field trials at 15 villages in maharashtra. This modification in the pumping system resulted in ~95% water disinfection (~99. 87% for e.
