1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020
Goats for Water wrote: Goats for water provides alternative financing mechanisms enabling cash-poor smallholder farmers to buy essential household & farming assets such as solar water-pumps, solar home systems and fertlizers. Households pay for the products with goats which uptrade then sells for a profit. Most rural communities lack cash to buy assets that meet their basic needs. Gfw has successfully launched in pakistan serving 7,000 farmers with an 11-person team. Their goat financing mechanism is in place. 16. Rural communities, where solar water pumps now bring water to 22,400 people. They have introduced a goats for solar model, where households can finance purchases of solar home systems, solar tvs and radios with goats... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

It allows farmers to adopt organic farming fertilizing their crop, protects from any insect or disease with 10% to 50% less water. Taazagrow cuts the energy and transportation cost required to manufacture and deliver huge quantity of fertilizer and pesticides used for conventional farming. Saving approximately 100% of the carbon emitted during the whole production and supply chain. In addition of organic matter in soil by decomposing the organic waste, it restores natural soil fertility, kills harmful microbes and degrade toxic organic chemicals. This eventually improves crop production by 20-30%... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Perovskite solar cells are developed by the University of Warsaw and represent a new class of photovoltaic devices. Their efficiency has reached 24 percent within 8 years of development, which is comparable with silicon solar panels that hav been developed for decades. Estimates say that this generation of solar cells will be significantly cheaper than panels currently available on the market. This is due to low temperature fabrication processing, simple manufacturing and cheap components. Furthermore, there is a possibility to make flexible devices which opens a brand-new application of solar panels.
