1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

Actual vehicles to move around cities are inefficient and are underused so we address this problem by creating efficient, clean and safe mobility solutions for urban areas adapted to the real needs of the people. Materials used nowadays on vehicles construction come from finite resources as steel, aluminium and petrol; therefore these generate a huge carbon footprint and a unacceptable bad impact to the environment and to the people’s health and life quality... 3 Acre Model Organic farm wrote: I am planning to build a 3 acre organic model farm with agro silvo pastoral system for my self sufficient. Agro-silvopastoral systems is a collective term for land-use systems, which combine a woody component (trees or shrubs) with cattle and cultivation on the same site. These systems represent a model of production and conservation based on silvi-culture, the practice of growing trees, complementary to pre-existing agricultural activities. Through this project i and my farm will be the model for organic farming. After completing my project i can suggest organic farming and awareness programs among my rural community. Finally i will be the roll model for who would like to do an organic farm. My city is jaffna sri lanka... Source: EIT Climate KIC's Climathon

Due to complex layering, recyclers are limited in their capacity to recycle while consumers fail to support recycling due to lack of infrastructure. Encore offers both the technology, tools and software to connect all these players and bring them on to a common stage by giving packaging waste a new face technology that converts it back to pack, bottle or can. We offer the technology as well as tools such as intelligent waste collection bins and software for brands and recyclers to re-calibrate their current manufacturing process to convert waste back into standardized raw materials... Keeping urban waterways clean is essential for healthy cities and also preventing ocean plastic pollution. However, the current global methods for waterway maintenance are labour intensive, inefficient and don't scale. We’re automating waterway maintenance with ai and drone technology. We are building all-electric aquadrones that collect floating debris and remove weed using computer vision. They also function as mobile data acquisition platforms, tracking waste aggregation trends while recording water and air quality data. We cut down the operational costs of waterway cleaning by up to 90 percent... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

For example areas that lack the necessary space of installation and informal/unplanned areas. The system also adopts a communal participatory approach, meaning that the community is one of the key participants in the design, implementation, and operation and maintenance phases...
