1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

Eco-Friendly Water Retention Natural Polymer wrote: We are trying to solving the major problem of the agriculture sector as well as the waste management problem. To solve these problems, we designed a natural water-absorbent polymer by using biodegradable waste that can absorb the 150 times of the water than its own weight and can hold absorbed water for a long period of time to maintain the moisture level with the soil. Our designed product is pollution-free, organic in nature, and biodegradable too so it helps improve the soil in an organic way and it will degrade in the soil after 6 months... This innovation enables designers, wood and furniture industries produce wooden objects faster and easier, saving costs, resources and the environment. . Our solution is especially helpful when releasing customized and short series, products with complex shapes, or if spare parts are needed fast. It provides design freedom, improves quality through lighter parts and prevents tonnes of co2 from being released to the environment... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Lagos, nigeria faces a sobering waste crisis that will only worsen as the city’s population of 18 million people continues to soar. The overburdened municipal government collects only 40% of city garbage and a mere 13% of recyclable materials are salvaged from landfills according to lawnma. Over 70% of solid waste is nylon and plastic materials. What we are is doing is to collect the nylon and plastic waste from organizations, stores and individuals. We also salvage some from landfills and event centres... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Biodiesel is from 20% to 30% cheaper than fossil diesel. Our product does not require vehicle modifications or special fueling equipment - just pump and go. In 5 years our annual profit will be 600,000 eur resulting from sales of 10,000 barrels. Compared with fossil diesel, usage of biodiesel results in low amount of regulated pollutants (nitrogen oxides (nox), particulate matter (pm), carbon monoxide (co), hydrocarbons (hc), etc. ) and dramatically decreases ghg emissions to the atmosphere...
