1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

In weendle, we transform waste into feedstock with exceptionally high protein and fat content. This highly scalable and rapid process is carried out by our army of black soldier fly larvae. These exceptional creatures in combination with the skills and knowledge of our human agents, reka gugan and mathieu chaix-bar have the ability to prove that waste could and in fact, should be perceived as food/feed. Our business case to bring this mix into the market of africa will shed light on how we intend to achieve this. Hungry for more? stay tuned!.. Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

This change results in the regeneration of ecosystems, renewal and repopulation of rural communities, remineralisation of food a fibre products and carbon sequestration potential so significant that it could bring australia to net zero emissions in as little as 20 years when adopted at scale. This is all achieved with exisiting, proven technology while at the same time producing food and fibre. This technology is called regenerative agriculture... Enbala Power Networks have developed a platform called “Concerto™” for real-time grid-balancing. Concerto™ is both a Virtual Power Plant (“VPP”) and a Distributed Energy Resource Management System that features interoperable, multi-service optimization with reliable real-time, non-disruptive, constraint-based operations to deliver long term value at all levels of the power delivery system. The platform has the potential to improve energy efficiency by its power monitoring and management system, reducing the amount of energy wasted.

Not only you get a detailed look into your energy statistics of the past based on accurate data from your smart meter. You can actively be a part of weekly, monthly or seasonal challenges, quizzes and surveys to lower your energy consumption. Take a quiz to learn interesting facts about how and what amount of energy you can save, or search for an opponent to play with (e. G. Flat at the same size in m2, in people living in the household, or in a 2km radius), organize collective actions for pv in apartment buildings... Source: EIT Climate KIC's Climathon
