Intelligent electric bike trailers

NÜWIEL has developed and built an electric bicycle trailer that automatically follows the movement of the bicycle. The cyclist does not feel the load of the trailer or the cargo. The trailer, thanks to a special coupling, is mounted in a few seconds under the saddle of the bicycle, without the need for further installations. When used without a bicycle, it can also be used as an electrically powered handcart in pedestrian-only zones and inside buildings. Thanks to NÜWIEL’s modular design, the trailer can be used with different cargo structures. It is possible to install an existing transport box system on the trailer, or to develop a custom box for different needs.

Optimization of solar collectors

Aiguasol have designed a solar concentration called 'Ulisses'. Ulisses is a cylindrical concentrator which uses flat movable mirrors rotating on a shaft. Ulisses can be coupled to flat solar collectors or to photovoltaic modules, thereby enhancing their efficiencies and minimizing the cost of power generation. The fact that the mirrors are movable allows the structures and protective systems from wind, snow, and high temperatures to be simplified.

The data is measured and processed to add value by using it in products, services and transactions as verifiable, transparent and secure information. A dispatchable solar power system

The innovation is a temporary energy storage solution for thermal energy. This is done using a phase-change material based on aluminum, which is liquefied by the heat produced. When electricity is required, the heat in the material is transferred from the phase-change material via a heat transfer fluid to a Stirling engine, where the energy is converted to electricity. The thermal energy input can be excess electricity from e.g. solar panels or wind turbines, or heat from concentrated solar energy. This solution allows for storage and releasing of energy on demand based on the needs of the electricity grid.

Surface water cleaning using separation

Surfcleaner removes oil and other waste products such as plastic and debris from water surfaces. This is done using automatic separator that automatically drags in everything (including water) into it. The water is then removed using separation and returned to the water mass while the rest of the materials is transported to a secondary storage unit that can be emptied at will. The device itself is cheap and requires minimal service while also having a long lifetime. The solution can be applied to specific situations such as oil spills or wastewater treatment, but also for general for areas such as plastic collection.

Biological toilet solution

ECOLOO is a toilet that is waterless, sewage free, energy free and requires low maintenance. The toilet is not using any water for flushing, the only water that could be required is for secondary functions such as cleaning the toilet or for personal hygiene. All the human waste is broken down to tiny particles and can then be used as fertilizer. The solution avoided emissions by reducing the need for fresh water for flushing, eliminating the need to treat sewage water and by creating fertilizers when being used.

Hyperloop development

Hyperloop is a new means of ground transportation that can carry passengers and cargo at speeds up to 1000 km/h inside low-pressure tubes. Coolar refrigerator using solar heated warm water

Coolar has produced an electricity-independent medical refrigerator. The Coolar system uses warm water that is heated through solar energy and stored in a water tank.
