1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020
Crover wrote: Cereal grains are the basis of staple food, yet post-harvest losses during long-term storage are exceptionally high, above 20%, making storage the single phase from harvest to final product with the highest losses. This is responsible for about 6% of total greenhouse gas emissions from food waste. Crover is the first robotic device able to ‘swim’ through grains stored in bulk and autonomously monitor their conditions, helping grain operators like farmers and grain merchants maintain the quality of their stock... The solution would unite the currently available routes in a single user and mobile-friendly plugin/app, which allows the user to select their preferred difficulty level, mobility solution, read and leave reviews. The idea also relates to the current challenges faced by the cēsis city where the city center is poorly connected with its periphery and thereby it is a challenge to reach some of it's best-known nature tourism spots... This traditionally comes from wild fish (fishmeal), but 90% of fish stocks are fully or over exploited. Through our innovative, proprietary process, we upcycle non-edible crop waste into a high-protein feed ingredient.
