1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

If for example all hotels in the us switch to sh2ower, it will save them $1b every year. . How it works. Simply remove the old head and install sh2ower and you are ready to go. If you step aside for any reason like soaping, shampooing or taking a selfie it automatically stops the stream. To warn you that the water is too hot it also automatically stops water at 50 degrees celsius. Batteries are recharged as the water runs... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Henan Runheng Energy Maganement Co., LTD have developed intelligent heating and cooling technology for building by recharging shallow geothermal energy in the same well. The company claims that their technology matches the amount of effluent to backwater and reaches adequate heat exchange between backwater and soil. This greatly improves the efficiency of the heat pump unit. In the full closed cycle, water remains unpolluted. Furthermore, the technology overcomes the defect of water heat pump recharging in multiple wells. It solves the problem of the heat source well blockage and declining water levels.

Flowmetrics wrote: Flowmetrics’ dynamic flood flow management helps cities to tackle urban flooding in a way that is intelligent, cost-effective and citizen-inclusive. The tool identifies urban flood risk hotspots and nearby areas that can withstand a lot of water, and quantifies their absorption capacity by using a distributed network of sensors as well as satellite imagery wherever possible. During a flood, highly impacted areas are connected with the identified absorbing areas by using mobile infrastructure that can easily be put in place by citizens and professionals... Anyang Heli Techtronic Metallurgy New Technology Co., Ltd have developed cold-rolled ribbed steel bar with high ductility. It combines several manufacturing techniques to enhance the strength of steel bar, and then improves its ductility with heat treatment process to eliminate residual stress and repair the microstructure defects. The company claims that, compared to traditional hot-rolled technique, their technology saves about 40% of energy, as well as alloy materials, such as vanadium nitrogen, manganese silicon. Furthermore, to produce a ton of steel with their technology could save 130 kwh of power, as well as 9.3 kg standard coal, and cost near zero amount of water.
