1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

Land owners pay us for this service, and in return we quantify carbon sequestered on their land, package it financially, and sell it directly to companies who need to offset emissions (such as the aviation sector). We bring science and rigour to the carbon offset market, as well as smart database technology to avoid double counting. Our offset-as-a-service is entirely innovative in this space... By creating additional green infrastructure, cities can create more people friendly urban spaces and foster climate resilience. Treespot is a smart, mobile, modular and scalable tree growing system which doesn’t require underground or pavement interventions. Mobile, modular and scalable: a treespot module- a single unit consisting of a planter, substrate, and a tree can be constructed by a single person and moved around a flat area by a one-person pallet jack/forklift. The modules link together to create a functioning and self-sustaining ecosystem- a park on top of concrete, without requiring any underground or pavement interventions... The sunovate pvt system has been designed to service this heat requirement and produce renewable electricity and does this by boosting the output of pv panels by 300%. The sunovate technology maximizes the energy output from solar panels, providing buildings and businesses with heat as well as electricity. Traditional Proto-exchange membrane designs have several issues related to them. With this in mind, Elicius Energy has developed a lightweight and air-breathing tubular Proto-exchange membrane (PEM). The tubular design eliminates the need for the traditionally used bipolar plates that comes with significant water and heat management issues. By replacing these, many issues are removed as well as allowing air to be transported between individual cells, which prevents overheating and letting the fuel cell operate at ambient temperatures. In addition to the beforementioned, the new design can lead to reduced system costs.
