1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030

These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.

These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

Greenpeat organice resource

Greenpeat organice resource

HBI S.r.l wrote: Hbi s. R. L. Exploits the hydrothermal conversion (htc) technology, to directly convert wet. Biodegradable waste in greenpeat. Greenpeat is a carbonaceous material, that can be used. For renewable energy production, or as soil improver: greenpeat increases the productivity of the land by 30%, reducing the need of water and of fertilizes. In this way greenpeat could be a valid substitute of fossil carbon (normally used for the production of thermal and electrical energy) and of fossil peat. However hbi strength is also in the technology used to produce greenpeat. This treatment is extremely more efficient and clean, if compared to the common technologies applied to wet organic substrates, such as composting or anaerobic digestion... Global Forest Bond

Global Forest Bond

Global Forest Bond wrote: Deforestation is responsible for around 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Global forest bond developed a financial solution for landowners who have preserved forests to be payed by the environmental services provided in those areas, such as carbon capture and storage, water production, biodiversity protection, etc. . We use traditional brazilian agrobusiness financial tools, such as agribusiness receivables certificate (cra), making it possible for investors and companies to acquire the rights over the environmental services in the são paulo stock exchange (b3). This greatly reduces the transaction costs and increases trust. . Our certificates are issued yearly, for the environmental services provided in the year before... Mangrove: Help Earth Breathe

Mangrove Team wrote: Our solution is divided into two parts, the first part includes the planting of mangrove forests along the red sea coastline that is 760 kilometer long, these forests will have an enormous positive impact in absorbing co2 emissions, these forests will also serve in marine conservation. The second part of our solution is a project that will assist in the funding of the mangrove forests planting as well as spreading awareness concerning environmental challenges, ; this will be accomplished by the establishment of a factory that manufactures biodegradable shopping bags that will have also tags that spreads information regarding the environment... Pyropower

Pyropower wrote: We are bringing an innovative electric generator to the market. It works on organic waste, which can be agricultural waste for example, the generator converts this into electricity. The byproduct of the generator is biochar, a type of charcoal. Its our byproduct but a primary product in other industries, which makes it very valuable. To give some examples, biochar is used in fuel cell technology, in water treatment, and also as a soil conditioner in agriculture. What differentiates this generator from other renewables is that it is carbon negative, since the carbon absorbed by the plants is stored in a stable form as biochar...
