1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030

These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.

These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

We install server modules to houses

Tark Energia wrote: The global need for. Variable cloud services grows every day. As a result all data centers in the world combined now consume more electricity than japan. About 90% of that energy goes to waste in form of heat into the atmosphere. Instead of building. New infrastructure for server hosting, we offer a solution. That makes more sense economically and environmentally. WasteAway

WasteAway wrote: In wasteaway we believe that every resource that ends up in a garbage bin is a wasted resource. We want to reduce the usage of single-use plastic with a reusable food container system. Our market is restaurants that sell takeaway food. We, wasteaway, sell rental reusable food containers to restaurant clients for 2,5€ per container. By using our system, only with our beachhead market (tallinn), we save over 9 million single-use food containers amount of trash. Our service is based on the circular economy. Our clients will purchase food from a restaurant with our lunch box and pay a deposit for it. After eating, the box can be returned to our reverse vending machine and the customer gets back the amount of deposit money... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

STEPS - an urban mobility application

STEPS - an urban mobility application

STEPS - value your steps wrote: Steps - value your steps. The creation of this application happened for the reason of solving problems in urban mobility. It basically consists of the idea of an incentive for citizens to use public transport, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and generate their own economy, as well as the local economy. To do this, we created an application that can transform walking, cycling, bus riding and scooter into a local economy, where the beneficiaries would be the users of the application themselves and also the sponsors of it... The topography of the sand surface is continuously scanned by a 3d sensor and a camera (kinect technology, what is used for example in xbox). In computer, the scanned surface is now blended with a digital geological 3d model in real-time and an image is calculated, which is projected onto the sand surface by means of a beamer. Air-to-air heat exchanger for cooling

Air-to-air heat exchanger for cooling

Air conditioning systems consume considerable power and have a large carbon footprint. TORO Water Air Thermal Technologies Corp have developed an air-to-air heat exchanger for cooling which they claim saves 50–80% energy compared to Conventional AC systems. It offers energy-efficient, climate friendly air conditioning alternatives and uses water as a refrigerant with Separate Sensible and Latent Cooling to maintain a comfortable range of temperature and humidity in multiple climate zones. Air Conditioners with this technology eliminate Ozone Depleting / High GWP refrigerants and reduce carbon emissions. This technology can be adapted for Residential, Commercial and Industrial cooling applications.
