1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030
These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.
These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

Temperate Technologies has developed an air-conditioning solution for small-medium sized commercial buildings that can decrease energy consumption by up to 40% and that decreases refrigerant leaks by up to 90%. The solution is a new type of evaporative cooler, the True Dew Cooler, which has several technical advantages over traditional coolers, such as being able to cool the coolant convectively. The system also allows the coolant to be transported in a closed loop. As such, it is not at risk for contamination and can be safely pumped to the evaporator side of the cooling system, enabling free-cooling.

Considering the lack of awareness, low income, and unavailability of continuous supply of electricity, people from rural areas can't afford water treatment facilities and hence prone to water borne diseases. So, this inspired us to create water disinfecting hand-pump in which a small modification in the existing set-up can serve as water treatment solution. We have successfully implemented at pilot scale followed by field trials at 15 villages in maharashtra. This modification in the pumping system resulted in ~95% water disinfection (~99. 87% for e. The customer can choose at what day he wants to pick up his groceries and have all the day to pick it up. The delivery from the supermarket to the lockers would only be once a day, and all the customers cover a really small distance to go to these lockers... Source: EIT Climate KIC's Climathon
