1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030

These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.

These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

Liquid organic H₂ carriers for H₂ logistics

Liquid organic H₂ carriers for H₂ logistics

Hydrogen (H₂) is the energy vector of the future. Although it can be used in many industrial sectors, its current solutions for storage and transportation are hazardous and inefficient. Hydrogenious GmbH have developed an alternative technology for H₂ storage and transportation–liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) technology. H₂ is chemically bonded to a stable carrier liquid. Thus, H₂ loses its explosive character and can be stored and transported in the well-known and already existing oil infrastructures. Hydrogenious claims that LOHC is the key to a viable H₂ society.

HydroPlat wrote: Hydrogen cars are relatively expensive to manufacture because they require the use of a rare substance as a catalyst. The platinum electrocatalyst that is used is not only expensive but can also be impure. Hydroplat is a unique technology that will replace this platinum electrocatalyst in hydrogen cars with the help of biomass. The biomass is sulfur and nitrogen dual-doped nanomaterials that were made from genetically modified cyanobacteria. Hydrogen cars are much better than electric cars because they will reduce carbon emissions by 40% globally and they can go more miles for one fill-up. Than electric cars. I drive with dragon wrote: We would like to make public transportation more attractive and. Convenient for kids. We believe that kids can motive their parents to use public transport instead of cars. Additionally we would like children to get into the habit of choosing public transportation. Thanks to this in couple of years there will be no need to change their habit and find alternative solutions. How we would like to do that? we would like to do that by create buses'/trams' spaces more colourful, friendly and attractive for them. We would like to create a zone for kids with dedicated seats and educational puzzles. Furthermore, those puzzles will be educating them in a manner which kids can comprehend. Anti-fouling agent for marine coatings

Anti-fouling agent for marine coatings

Biological fouling on marine application can result in large economic loss due to hull damage as well as an increase in drag which results in more fuel consumption. I-Tech AB has developed an anti-foulant known as Selektope®, based on the chemical Medetomidine, that can be easily integrated into paint used for ships and that offers both improved in-service anti-foulant and static performance, which is important during outfitting of vessels. The agent an organic, non-metal compound that delivers these points at low concentrations.

Gasifier of waste with high ash content

Gasifier of waste with high ash content

The solution is developed as a small-scale and localised/distributed gasification of agricultural and municipal solid waste. The waste comes with a high level of inorganic matter. The organic matter can be further utilized for energy production which could offset the need for some fossil-fueled energy production.
