1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030

These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.

These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

High efficiency dual hybrid combustion engine

High efficiency dual hybrid combustion engine

The NESS solution is based on a cost effective retrofittable dual hybrid (both kinetic- & heat energy recovery). The product is primarily aimed towards automotive & commercial vehicle engines, which when installed results in reduction of CO2 and other emissions by increasing the overall efficiency of the engine combustion. Efficiency is increased through the power savings from the NESS attachment. The retrofit can lead to more sustainable consumption of fuels in the future.

Solar powered spirits distiller

Solar powered spirits distiller

Katjet wrote: Every year a big amount of fruits and berries are spoiled due to the deficiency of processing technologies and big energy consumption. We will produce solar powered spirits distiller for farmers, do installation and service. Distilled spirits will be realized as bio-fuel. This will solve the utilization problems in agricultural field by utilizing extra amounts of fruits and berries and produce extra income for communities and farms. With our technology farmers will implement clear alcohol and spirits production, reduce atmospheric pollution and energy consumption by using clear and free power of sun and obtain clean and cheap bio-fuel, which will be used for heat generation during could season... Build aqua drones that maintain waterways

Build aqua drones that maintain waterways

Kayal Technologies wrote: Urban waterways in developing countries tend to be heavily polluted and urban poor live close to that. Keeping urban waterways clean is essential for healthy cities and also preventing ocean plastic pollution. However, the current global methods for waterway maintenance are labour intensive, inefficient and don't scale. We’re automating waterway maintenance with ai and drone technology. We are building all-electric aquadrones that collect floating debris and remove weed using computer vision. They also function as mobile data acquisition platforms, tracking waste aggregation trends while recording water and air quality data. We cut down the operational costs of waterway cleaning by up to 90 percent... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

To know this, we install a specific hardware in the machine to detect the information and then, using a specific software installed previously in an ipad, we can know when and where the machine is going to break. With our solution the automotive companies can avoid a lot of costs, and this can be translated in saving of important quantity of co2... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Kern Tec wrote: In europe over 500. 000 tons of peach, apricot, plum and cherry pits go to waste every year, mostly large scale manufacturers producing juices, concentrates, etc. However, these pits offer an enormous potential, but the thing that has to be done is to split and sort them into the seed and the shell. With kern tec's technology it's now possible for the first time to. Upcycle these materials to innovative and sustainable products locally. Since the seeds are rich in healthy oils and proteins they can be perfectly used as delicious snacks, oils for foods and cosmetics as well as protein bars...
