1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030

These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.

These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

On-site printed modular housing units

On-site printed modular housing units

Ceramic Framework Print wrote: Our product is on-site printed modular housing units. Main printing material is clay mixed with natural fiber materials, which are fired in extrusion process to gain ceramic structure. Our beachhead market is un human settlements programme. Ceramic modular units are 40% cheaper than wood modular units plus they are fully equipped. Printers are transportable and they can function in open environment. Modular units are printed in sections for easy transportation and assemble. In 5 years our annual profit will be 45mn eur resulting from sales of 1. 5mn m². Compared with wood modular housing, usage of clay results in extremely low amount of co² (approximately 8 times)... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

"NIDO" wrote: Millennials are in need of living accommodations that better suite their lifestyle- small footprint housing that has the ability to grow as their needs grow, and move where they move. Current apartments and houses don’t offer that freedom, forcing people to rent and spend more money in the long-term, or to buy and be tied down to specific place and size. We plan to tackle this problem by changing the way housing is perceived. We offer studio type housing units, which at first are placed in multi-storey racks. The individual units are made to be taken out when needed, moved to a different rack or freestanding location and to be expanded with additional different application units... Double capacity of first generation EVs

Double capacity of first generation EVs

DoubleEV wrote: In year 2010 nissan started to sell first truly ev for masses - nissan leaf, and as of today - around 300k cars were sold. First version of these car bears 24kwh battery, with real world range around 140-150 km per charge. As battery pack capacity decreases over time - there will be moment for ev owners to consider either buying new car or new battery pack. We plan to offer battery pack upgrade using modules built from densier cells (type 18650) to double capacity of battery pack up to 48kwh... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Smart buildings heating

Smart buildings heating

HeatMe wrote: Buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of energy consumption and 36% of co2 emissions in the eu, major part of it is energy requirements for heating. . Heatme is an innovative self-sustainable heat pump tech based building heating system. It uses external environment heat energy not only for building heating & hot water purposes, but also to power it self. . Like solar panels, heatme runs at no costs, and unlike solar panels, heatme runs even in cold weather and no sunny days. . On a global level, heatme will dramatically reduce the consumption of energy resources and the pollution that results from it... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad
