1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030

These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.

These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

Citizens are incentivized to repair because they can have easy access to repair service at convenient prizes or even collaborate with experts in order to become themselves repairers. There will be 3 main sections and functionalities in the site: 1、online e-flea market. People can sell second hand devices/ broken devices/ components of the devices. Waste to Wealth Innovative Technologies LLP wrote: We develop microbial processes to treat dairy waste water to generate value added product like biofertilizer that can replace use of chemical fertilizer and fresh water for irrigation. The crop production increases, ensuring healthy food, the fresh water misuse (90%) for agriculture is stopped while the dairy industry saves on land use for effluent treatment plant construction (reduced by 75%), saves on electricity for processing (by 90%), reduces time of treatment (7. 5times) and hence efficiency of the plant. In addition they become a zero discharge company which produces biofertilizer... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Mixed waste plastics to fuel oil through pyrolysis

Mixed waste plastics to fuel oil through pyrolysis

The solution aims to recycle plastics into an energy source. The continuous production of fuel oil is achieved using a variety of different plastics. This solves the problem of plastics recycling as well as offsetting the need for additional fuel oil.

WE3 Connect

WE3 Connect

WEEEWO wrote: We3 connect is a unique digital platform that incentivizes users to dispose of their small electronic devices in an innovative way: while disposing of broken devices to electronic retailers, they earn points that allow them to access targeted offers and discounts. In this way, not only they save money but also they can actively contribute to climate change mitigation through provision of secondary raw materials. Furthermore, thanks to the footprint calculator, we3 connect will help to increase users awareness about the impact they make while recycling e-waste. At the same time, we identify the main electronic retailer chains as the key partners of we3 connect as they provide us with the infrastructures to collect small-sized e-waste... In the manufacturing process of fertilizers, phosphorous and potassium are non-renewable critical resources that are 80 to 100% imported by india. One resource that interlinks the water-nutrients nexus with the sanitation is human urine. Urine contains about 98% water and remaining are nutrients (n, p, k). About 22% of the global phosphorus demand can be achieved through the recovery of phosphorus from human waste. It’s time to ‘reinvent the toilet’... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Wireless electricity transmitter

Wireless electricity transmitter

The solution is based on energy expansion technology. It works through wireless electricity transmission which sends electromagnetic signals to pre-installed receivers. This can enable electricity access to areas otherwise hard to reach with the main grid and rely on fossil fuels to generate energy.
