1000 innovative clean energy solutions and > 150 framework enablers with the potential to deliver more than twelve gigatonnes of avoided emissions by 2030

These assessments are based on a basic avoided emission assessment. The overall concept of avoided emissions is that a solution (product or service) enables the same function to be performed with significantly less GHG emissions. The method of measuring avoided emissions, is to compare a baseline scenario without the enabling solution, with a scenario using the enabling solution; whereby the baseline represents the ‘business as usual’ (BAU) scenario.

These assessments are based on the framework document: The Avoided Emissions Framework (AEF) from September 2020

GreenStock wrote: The volume of construction waste generated worldwide every year will nearly double to 2. 2. Billion metric tons by the year 2025. The norwegian construction industry alone produces nearly 2 million metric tons of building waste every year. Greenstock’s cloud-based platform streamlines logistics for the reuse of building materials. Organisations can use the platform internally to map available materials in existing buildings and leftovers from building projects in a database for reuse in future construction projects. This will reduce carbon emissions as well as overall building costs... Source: EIT Climate KIC's ClimateLaunchPad

Automated solar panel cleaning

Automated solar panel cleaning

Feynman innovation has designed a semi-automatic and water-free cleaning robot for solar panels. Having a solar panel with connected batteries of its own, the robot is energy independent. To allow for a versatile and broad usage, the solution has a slim and light design and has a suspension system to be able to handle uneven ground. It is also designed in such a way that assembling and disassembling is to be possible to do within 20 minutes at any location. Furthermore, the solution includes a machine learning program with analyses dust patterns and provide cleaning schedule recommendations.

Upcycling food

Glean wrote: Glean meets the demand for plant-based foods while reducing emissions and using byproducts from cooking traditionally thought of as waste. The first ‘waste’ product our company is utilizing is the water from cooking beans, aka aquafaba. We are developing aquafaba into an egg replacer that can be used in pastries, condiments and meals.
